Hi Dougle,

When I have time I am going to merge all of your questions about this into one topic. It helps us enormously when everything relating to the same issue is kept to one topic, so please will you keep all further questions and comments here? You will find it easily in future if you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now - or you can click on your username (in blue when you are logged into the site) and it will bring up a list of all your previous messages.

I'm sorry that this person is being so unpleasant, they clearly believe that you gave the money away in order to stay beneath the £6000 threshold and remain entitled to IR ESA :(

It sounds as if things are getting to the stage where you could do with some legal advice. CAB might be a good place to start. Please try and get a recording of any further telephone conversations and make sure someone is with you for any face to face meetings.

Of course it is up to you to decide whether to make an official complaint. Have you got your MP involved? They might be able to get DWP to treat you with a little more care.

Also , as I say I gifted my son some money but today the complience officer said she believes that my boy gave me the money straight back and that if I want to prove otherwise I should show her my sons account. The officer said that she doesn't not know if she can make me legally show my sons account but if I refuse that it will look suspicious . I have asked my son and he is willing to show the account and that he still has most of the money.
Don't know what to do.I feel bullied into it.

I totally understand why you feel bullied!

It is totally up to you how you respond. I guess it depends on how much you want to stand your ground vs how much you want this settled!

Thanks , I guess we will just have to show them my son's statements to be seen to co-operate.
Stupidly I gifted tmy boy the money then started transferring an amount of my savings in and out of his account so we could both collect a measly amount of interest per month.. Now I suppose it looks like I gave the boy the money then took ia small portion of it back n forth each month.
Thing is my own savings barely ever went over the £6000 limit over the years..perhaps £100 occasionally.and the officer even agreed I may have been over payed a miniscule amount.
I think she was hoping to find me with huge savings and is raging because she has not.She really was angry and said I was wasting her time.
How on earth am I supposed to remember every item I purchased over a couple of years.
I use my DLA/PIP for all sorts of stuff. So unfair.
I will report here what happens if it helps anyone.
Extremely stressed and worried because that officer sounded determined to unravel me.

I have just had a horrible realisation ! When the Compliance Officer came to my home she wrote a statement about me and just said "sign here " I stupidly did so without reading it ! I cannot believe I did such a stupid thing !
I was doped up on Oxycodone and was extremely stressed and tired at the time this happened.
I have a feeling she may have written things I do not agree to.
She is due to ring me again tomorrow.
Is it too late to ask to read what she wrote and if needed correct it?
My interviews have been in my home informally so far
This Compliance Officer has been so rude and aggressive I dread speaking to her again.

I would have expected them to have left you a copy of what you signed! Yes, you can ask to see what it was.
