Angel thank you for saying.

Yes the dread is overwhelming

And I'm one of the lucky few, in that I was able to transfer from DLA to PIP without having to go through an assessment, helped by family member to type it all up and get me to medical appointments.

And helped enormously by the B&W guides

And by the links i was directed to - Take a look through my topics.
which show how assessors are trained to interpret claims and the laws meaning on these descriptors.

The form's are awful, never try to fill it in yourself, always get help.
That's where most people who go through these disgusting ordeals are at a disadvantage, by not having access to these guides.

Assessors Report . Additional Advice pages[/b]

Additional support .... No mental etc, etc impairment that may require additional support in order for them to comply with future claim processes

Q1 Is it possible to have (whom ever it would concern) place information under this section that in fact additional support is required,
without having the whole claim looked at again.

slight reference is made in certain Justifications for descriptors to Additional Support

full reference is made in Additional Information summary to/ for Additional Support
(mixed in with rest of the nonsense)

{^^^ Both of the above link-up with the reasons for AS, stated in the A/Support statement box}, yes and my evidence.

Q2 Review :

"its not appropriate to review the claim"

Justification for review period choice
"A review may not be appropriate"

Are these standard block phrases?

And, Given the current climate on reassessments should i still be expecting a year in advance form review ?

1. This is a question we frequently see in the forum. Realistically there is no way to update the information used to make the Decision without requesting an MR. I suppose that you could send a letter to the DWP, but I am very nervous in saying this unless it triggers an MR or even a review of your existing award.

2. I suspect these are standard phrases. At this time we do no know how the DWP will handle On-Going awards.

Well obviously i am not going to want to trigger a MR

i hoping the requiring Additional Support section may be a stand alone issue

As for on-going awards, neither did the call handler have any info, when i requested the assessors report ...

yet the award letter does clearly state "This will be after" then the future full end date ........

is that phrase standard on all letters including fixed term awards ?

Maybe the intentions with on-going awards are to periodically review behind the scenes as before but this time by contacting the claimants GP's to complete assessment reports, then certain changes (if any) would trigger a review.

The phrases used on a fixed award are different from this.

I'm afraid we will all have to wait another seven years to see what happens, when PIP is ten!
