I have been awarded pip enhanced daily living, I am also getting esa support group.

I really hope you get your pip reinstated! Personality disorder is awful and affects you really bad :(

It was incredibly hard being in hospital but I now have a support worker and have my 1st appointment with the psychiatrist in a couple of weeks, I also need to have psychology along side it but a year and a half wait.

Please keep me updated, I will keep my fingers crossed for you :)

Hi M,
So pleased you've got a support worker at last & funding for a couple of years. When I was discharged from hosp I should have had a care plan & support worker too : nothing! If you've been sectioned they are legally obliged to. Don't get your hopes up too high about CMHT services. They lack specialist training & knowledge of sexual abuse, all the system judges is symptoms & diagnosis. Have a look at the NICE treatment pathway for Unstable Personality Disorder, its online. You don't have to wait 2 yrs for psychology/ psychotherapy: when you are ready please consider contacting Trust House Lincolnshire 01476 570284, they offer free telephone/online support & specialist psychotherapy funded by the Ministry of Justice, police & Lottery. Lots of info via survivors trust or NAPAC. At last I didn't feel so alone, someone understood. It is a scary step to decide to heal but I wasted so many years waiting for NHS: they haven't got the resources or competence.
