The assessment provider is Capita do you know where I should ring? Would the PIP line know if an appointment has been sent out?

Hi j,

No, DWP will not know whether an appointment has been sent, you will need to contact Capita

Hello,

When do you ask for a copy of the report the assessor does at the assessment? Do you ask the assessor at the time or ring DWP or Capita?

Please advise.

BF had a letter to explain that they were looking at his PIP2 and would contact him with an appointment for assessment if needed. Do you know if many are just paperbased or are we hoping for the impossible.

Many thanks.

You can request the report a couple of days after the assessment by contacting the DWP office dealing with the claim.

Most claimants are required to have a face to face assessment, my best guess is that no more than about 10% are given a paper assessment.

Hi, We sent the PIP form off in January and had a text to say it had been received. We then got a letter from capita to say that the form had been passed to them and that they were looking at it. This letter was dated 25th January and we have heard nothing since. Is it normal to wait so long for either an assessment appointment or a decision that was made on paper only?

Thanks.

We are starting to assessment wait times increasing, it is possible that the DWP are again pushing too many claimants through the system, all I can suggest is that you chase Capita regularly, if you are happy to take a short notice appointment then this may help.
