I am really sorry to hear about this LadyLuna. But would just like to say that I am in a similar situation with having no income whilst waiting for a MR.

I signed on with Job Seekers this week and they totally understood the situation. Mine is 20 miles away so it was not easy getting there, but to have some income is something.

Thank you for your support Rachel.

Today I telephoned the Assessment Centre to ask about the missing medical evidence. A manager in the home visit department listened to my case and was concerned enough about the missing medical evidence that they telephoned my Dr's surgery to request a repeat of the medical evidence sent in October, and even phoned the girl at the Dr's back to confirm it had arrived. So she is going to assess me for a Home Visit or paper decision.

I telephoned DWP to see if the DM had added the medical evidence to the MR. Long conversation with the lady on the phone who confirmed only that the DM had written I would be faxing the evidence over, (I don't own a fax), but there was not record of receiving the medical evidence the girl at the Dr's sent last Friday.

The woman at the DWP read all the notes of phone calls, etc, and actually said she had no idea why they had stopped my benefit as there was very comprehensive and valid notes all over my file. She seemed also very concerned that the DM had failed to make a decision and sent it to MR.

Squeakiest wheels get the most oil and all that. I just felt if they couldn't perform joined up handwriting, I would write it out for them!

Do not know what help it will be or whether I will get my ESA back without an appeal, but I think we are further ahead than we were on Friday.

Following on. A call back from DWP confirms the medical evidence did not arrive at their offices via fax on Friday. The DM wouldn't speak to me. They want Dr's to send again.

My Dr's claim the evidence was sent to DWP on Friday and they claim they have confirmation it has been received. They want DWP to make a formal request for the medicall evidence due to confidentiality issues. I told them

a) they won't and

b) I don't have a direct number to call the DM to ask them to do that.

I really am not sure what has occurred here but I am getting brick walls from everyone.

I would be prepared to send the documents snail mail but I would want to send Special Delivery and only have a post handling site address which I have been told is not the same as the DM address. I am also unsure if anyone will sign for it there.

Luna

You can take the documents to your local JC+ office and they can scan them and send them by email directly to the relevant office, you will need to make an appointment to do this.

Hi sorry for the slow reply.

I got copies of the fax transmissions from the Dr which were both dated 14th October 2016. These were the dates they were sent to the back office of the Home Visit DM team.

They clearly ask for me to be given a Home Visit due to my mobility and other health issues.

The faxes, according to the DWP DM, never arrived with her just over a week ago, when the Dr's resent. All 3 copies sent at different times just vanished into thin air!

I heard last week that the MR team now have my file, but when I spoke to them, I was told no medical evidence had been received and passed to them.

So, I have sent a copy of the letters to the MR team via the Wolverhampton address. On Saturday I received a letter to confirm my file was with them.

I also sent a 6 page letter outlining the entire timeline of this whole fiasco and naming names, good and bad.

This is getting close to Christmas and I suspect I may have no money til after the New Year, which scares me, but I will not let them win! They had all this evidence on 14th October 2016 to decide upon a Home Visit and STILL I have lost my benefit, without justification.

Will update you when I hear anything.
