What counts as ‘medication’ for personal independence payment (PIP)?

For the purpose of personal independence payment (PIP), the law states that “medication” means medication to be taken at home which is prescribed or recommended by a registered –
(a) doctor;
(b) nurse; or
(c) pharmacist;
