I get the higher rate care and mobility components of DLA, will I have to have a personal independence payment (PIP) medical assessment?

Everyone who claims personal independence payment (PIP), or who is transferred from disability living allowance (DLA) to PIP will have to be assessed using the PIP points system

Not everyone will have to go for a face-to-face medical assessment, however.  The DWP say that “people with the most severe health conditions or disabilities, or those who are terminally ill” are unlikely to have to attend a face-to-face medical assessment.  What the definition of ‘most severe’ will be in practice remains to be seen.
