I have been awarded the highest rates of disability living allowance indefinitely. Will I need to have a face-to-face medical assessment for personal independence payment (PIP)?

It’s impossible to say.  There is certainly no evidence that there will be automatic exemption from face-to-face medicals based on what award of DLA you receive.

But the DWP have said that “people with the most severe health conditions or disabilities, or those who are terminally ill” are unlikely to have to attend a face-to-face medical assessment.  Much may depend on what medical evidence you are able to get from your specialist or GP and include with your claim.
