I currently get an indefinite award of disability living allowance (DLA). Will I be automatically entitled to personal independence payment (PIP)?

Sadly, no-one will be automatically entitled to an  award of personal independence payment (PIP) when it replaces disability living allowance (DLA) for working age claimants.  Everyone will have to be assessed using the points system for PIP to decide whether they get an award and, if so, which components and at what rates.

However, that doesn’t mean that everyone will have to go for a face-to-face medical assessment.  The DWP say that “people with the most severe health conditions or disabilities, or those who are terminally ill” are unlikely to have to attend a face-to-face medical assessment.
