Can you tell other claimants anything about travel and facilities for this PIP face-to-face assessment centre?

Please post in the comments section below if you can.

Things like:

  • Distance to nearest bus stop or rail station.
  • Nearest parking, any disabled parking.
  • Distance to walk if you’re dropped as close to the door as possible.
  • Wheelchair access.
  • Toilets, including disabled toilets.
  • Ground floor or first floor.
  • Lift available.
  • Anything else you think might be helpful.

Please don’t comment on the staff though – we won’t be able to publish your comments if you do.

Centre is not far from train station, approx. 200 metres, however if you have a disability you may have to get a taxi.

Nearest disabled parking spaces are quite close, approx 20 metres.

The entrance is approximately same distance as disabled parking bays set back from the pavement.

It's a ground floor assessment centre and there is wheelchair access although it is not t hat easy to navigate through the entrance.

There are toilets, including disabled toilets.

Early appointments advisable if this is possible due to the backlog of appointments. High risk of being sent home with a follow on date and time to return. This can be problematic if travelling from out of area.

The centre is at the side of the railway station but quite a long walk if you are disabled, The exit from the station must be around 50 meters plus any distance inside the station.

The nearest disabled space is just about 20m
this is the closest you can be dropped of by car.
Buses stop outside the station but can be quite a walk especially if your bus stops on the other side of the station.
The assessment centre is on the ground floor next to Gregg's bakery

Atos claimed I had walked 60 meters to get there but if you pint out Google earth you can prove it is only a third the distance from the nearest disabled bay.where I parked. I assume this 60 meters is from the car parks,
