TOPIC: ESA/INCAP BENEFIT

ESA/INCAP BENEFIT 7 years 8 months ago #14603

Hi happy new year to everybody.
Please could somebody give me some advice i am currently on incapacity benefit, I have been sent ib 50 to complete and return to ATOS yet they say dont forward any medical evidence with the form send that to your local benefit office.
I do have medical evidence from hospital consultants but if i sent them seperate i feel they could go adrift, Also i exceed the number of points required to get incap benefit but will i be assessed under the IB or ESA guidelines? Many Thanks.

Personally, I send stuff to the DWP by recorded delivery unless it really doesn't matter. They get post opened centrally and then distributed, so it can easily go astray. Once they've signed for it, at least they can't say you didn't send it, even if they have lost it and you have to send it again. I've done this since a friend who worked as a DWP letter opener (employed by the contractor) advised me to.

As migration hasn't started yet, you'll be assessed under IB rules.

Sorry to mither again but if i exceed the number of points needed for incap benefit would i still have to go for a medical examination. For Incapacity benefit my last one was approx 15 months ago and there has been no significant change in my conditions since then. Thank you.
