TOPIC: PIP home medical

PIP home medical 4 months 2 weeks ago #192402

Well today I had the pip home visit. I'll soon be 68yrs of age with several health issues and now can only function on steroids. I have to say that if I had 1 ounce of self respect I would never have allowed such a person to come into my home who's only object was to crucify me. I have never felt so humiliated and degraded in my life. The threat of benefits is of no interest to me, but what a state we have allowed to happen to us, I thought World wars were fought for freedom and here we have these people coming to our homes. Disgraceful!

I'm sorry to hear that the assessment was a trial (in both senses), all I can say is that we have seen the worst assessments sometimes result in the highest awards, so don't take itoo much to heart.

You should be able to request copy of the report by contacting the DWP office dealing with your claim next week.

PIP Decisions are taking 2-4 weeks at the moment.

Ok Gordon many thanks for reply. I accept your reply, but how low we have now stopped all for fear of loosing benefit. I involved my MP regarding 2 letters I received from pip about information they were gathering from my GP, my GP confirmed they had never been contacted by pip. I wonder what expense disabled people have encountered to obtain consultants, hospitals, GPS, etc notes that was needless

Got my pip home visit results several days ago. Complete farce beginning to end. I was unwell at visit and couldn't really take part as I was coming down from steroids to rest my body. I was semi comotose and she was prompting me and answering for herself. I'm 68 yr old, given life award high mobility and middle for care component in 1994 due to several conditions. I was awarded nothing on mobility and standard rate for daily living. I find it hard to believe that these can't even be truthfull, shower of deceitful piers. Now I can't think of taking them on as I'm quite unwell.
