after taking your advice from the site to the best of my ability I now have been called in for that dreaded face to face interview , I submitted me my hospital letters etc but suffer from anixiety and neurological and mental health issues and to be honest I'm a bundle of nerves and it's making me ill because of all the horror story's and the last 2 times I had interviews they gave me 0 points took them to a tribunal and won on both esa and dla , hence I'm shaking typing this .
I'm trying to find out how to prepare myself better for this interview but can't seem to find anything someone help me please if not omg I think I'm just going to have a panic attack before tuesday , my son is my carer who will come with me but the way I was treated last time they said I didn't have tremors when I have a rare neurological problem and even specialist letter . I told the truth but was made out to be a liar

Have you looked at the PIP Claim guide? I pointed you to a section that covers the assessment in a post yesterday.

What additional support are you looking for?

To be honest just to see anything that would prepare me mentally as having experienced the last interviews and was shocked I don't know the way I'm going to be treated with the pip system even though they have specialist letters no one seems to understand my neurological problem because it's rare and if half the doctors haven't heard of it how can a computer understand me , sorry just panicking :(

Have you thought of providing reference information from the internet about your condition? If you do then make sure you include the address that you downloaded it from. You can give it to the assessor at the start of the assessment and ask them to read it an include it in your file before they proceed with the interview.

When I filled the application form my neurologist consultant wrote this was a rare neurological problem and if needed get in touch it stated don't download forms about medical issues etc so I didn't , previous times I have had to get my son my carer to print out all about orthostatic tremors as it's hardly known and there isn't even any research on it , will they allow me to first hand a print off at my interview explaining how it effects people and how it gradually gets worse as personally I thought this was not allowed and also my son wanted to record the interview but it says it must be recorded by 2 disc and 1 handed over to them

There is nothing in the Regulations that prevents you from providing information about your conditions but you need to do this at home and then take a copy to the assessment, that's why I recommend that you include the address of the information.

To record the assessment you need permission from the Assessment Provider and you will need to be able to make two simultaneous recordings to tape or CD, you cannot use a digital recorder. Members have use two cassette recorders to make the recordings.
