The legislation is not yet law, and still needs to pass through the House of Lords, althoug it seems unlikely that it will be stoppped or that any significant amendments will be made.

gordon heres one of your answer's above there is not many people who know this ,i am ab out to appeal my situ regarding the group i have been put in i feel i should have gone for a medical and be in a support group but after all that has been said what is the point if like your answer says you cant see that it wont happen cheers Denn

I am in same boat as you service and war pension since pre 95 when move carried out i too will lose esa too

many people in same boat as me claiming later never even got esa to lose

this true dave but yer never miss what yer never had ,and it was supposed to be safe by law, and prob is for the people who make these stupid decisions, apart fron 50p tax rate yer bet that doesnt stay .

The contribution based ESA cuts are another budget cut of course and have no policy objective other than to reduce the welfare bill. Such a cut might be justified had Contribution based ESA come from general taxation, but of course it comes from our contributions which is scandalous imo.

Just brick being kicked out of the foundations of the welfare state.
