tribunal appeal pack arrived today

i called the tribunal service asked if they had enough information to do a paper hearing
they said yes and asked why i couldn't attend
i'm having chest problems at the minute struggling to breath i visited drs he prescribed steroids and antibiotics
i asked if they wanted proof they said no but took my number in case they need to ask any questions . they didn't call
hope it hasn't gone against me . i wanted to attend but couldn't stand the wait for a new date its been 9 months and i wanted it over with

after asking if it was ok for me not to attend as I'm ill I asked if they need a note from dr where I attended they said no but took my number and said if the tribunal need to ask anything they will phone but will go ahead in my absence .
this in mind
I called today to see what had happened they told me the tribunal had adjourned my case and had set another date and I would get a letter in the post to reply too ?
I asked why they didn't go ahead and was told I will receive a letter ?
why would this happen ?
I feel numb
can anyone say why they do this

I can only guess that the panel don't feel that they can make a decision without seeing you themselves.
