Oh hells bells Amanda how awful for you! There is absolutely no doubt in my mind at all that they do this on purpose. So after sorting out pip u are now struck down with ESA form without chance to breathe from pip fiasco. Sending you good luck wishes! :)

No not heard anything from ESA or PIP. Not expecting good news from either of them, that is why I am reading up in advance about the appeals jaunt for both, running myself into the ground again in the process! Keeping fingers x'd for you, me and everyone else out there. I have been reading some truly heart breaking stories and honestly am just humbled to hear how you are all still managing to hold on, just!! Bless you all!! xxx

Well final received assessors report! Oh can't believe difference in this report and my ESA report. No points for Porthole. I am fit as a fiddle. Received it yesterday, was very very upset, and hiding back in my bedroom. No sleep last nite. Today have written in pencil all over it 'pants on fire, you lying bitch'! Strangely enough that has made me feel better, ha!

Had visit from my support worker on Fri who said mental health team will help me appeal bad decision if needed. Shame report came following day, could have done with the support. I did tell her that I am realising just how ill it all made me this last six plus months. Am worried this knock back gonna set me back as it is terrifying wen me head goes adrift. I shouldn't joke I know but it's the only way I cope sometimes. Not sure I will appeal, just don't think I can summon up the strength. My mental well being is more important to me at mo. Will see how I feel in few days. The scrapper in me says 'go for it, don't let them grind you down', but...................!!!

Hello again!

Still not sure if gonna go down appeal route yet or not. Need to know just how much help my support worker can offer. I don't want it to be a case of just offering advice and I have to do all the work myself, just do not feel strong enough to do it on my own.

Anyway, just in case, I have noticed on the report the assessor was a 'nurse', nothing more stated than that. I would love to find out just exactly what her qualifications are. I'm sure I saw another member post something about how to find out. Does anyone else know how to find out, point me in the right direction?? Thanx

Ps forgot to say she was too busy calling me 'darling' which I found so bloody annoying, disrespectful and totally unprofessional. Or maybe I'm just nit picking, and need to concentrate on the bigger picture but it was really doing my head in, and I had to expend a lot o my energy on 'not' shouting at her and telling to stop doing it. Won't say here what I am likely to shout if I lose my rag. But am thinking maybe this could be significant because it was a factor in me not being able to concentrate on what was going on! Anyway bye for now, Porthole (Darling)

Although Decision Makers usually follow the recommendation of the assessor, it is not a given and we do regularly hear from members who expected no points based on the report and actually received an award. I know it won't be easy but try and park this until you hear from the DWP and if it is an adverse Decision then we will talk you through the process of challenging it.
