What did you say and did you get the award? Please don't answer if this is confidential to yourself and can I just say a big thanks to yourself and Gordon for helping with your answers to my questions as you can probably tell I'm paniking a bit about what lies ahead.

I told the truth - that I drive short distances, when I feel able, in an automatic car. I got standard mobility. Down from high rate mobility DLA but it was what I expected given the PIP mobility scoring.

I was asked if i drove and said once a week to friends in town. Then they put in the assessment I drove at least once a week able to handle a motor vehicle which requires a certain level of concentration. Basically over exagerating
my capabilities based on this one answer. All based on 1 x 5 minute car journey a week WOW

I drive. My assessor asked if I did & I replied yes, but as I can hardly walk I rarely ever use the car, no point me going anywhere if I cant walk when I get there. I told her its mainly to go to the doctors just up the road if I really have to & am always accompanied by my carer. It's the reason I keep getting a flat battery lol. My car is 7yrs old & has done hardly any mileage, but I won't get rid of it.
The assessor was ok with this & I received the enhanced rate on both components.
