PIP contacting specialists was created by sitterum
Does anyone know if the DWP will contact specialists who are not mentioned in your PIP 2 Form?
I’ve put down 3 specialists on the form, who I’m more than happy for them to contact. But I’ve submitted letters from other specialists who no longer work for the NHS.
I’m not sure if the DWP need consent to contact specialists who have not been put down as professionals to advise on ones circumstances.

It's unlikely they will contact the specialists that you have named they certainly won't contact ones that you have not.
If you want your consultants and specialists views to be included then our advice is for you to source letters and reports yourself and include them with your PIP2 form.

It's unlikely they will contact the specialists that you have named they certainly won't contact ones that you have not.

The PIP is form is for my son. As my local authority and the NHS where slow with sending me medical evidence; I got him assessed by private specialists (Harley Street) I’ve included the name and contact details of 3 private professionals and one from the NHS.
I’ve sent his care plan but haven’t included the social worker who wrote it, so I was just wondering if the DWP would contact her.

If they contact anybody it will only be those that you have nominated.
