It's the type of ESA that is important, if you are receiving only Contribution Based ESA then there should be no impact, if you are receiving Income Related ESA in part or in whole then the IIDB will effect your payments.

Your PIP will not be affected.

how do I find out which type of ESA I am getting

it saying your income-related amount is £----

however because you are entitled to contribution-based employment and support allowance you will get £

so which one is it good or bad for me lol

You haven't supplied much information :)

ESA(CB) is always paid if the claimant is eligible, however, you may also be receiving an ESA(IR) top-up.

If the ESA(IR) amount is greater than the ESA(CB) amount then you should be receiving an ESA(IR) top-up. If the ESA(CB) amount is greater then you won't.

You should be able to confirm this by contacting the DWP, they should be able to provide an entitlement letter that confirms whether you are receiving ESA(IR) or not.
