Received esa50 form after receiving pip

Hi everyone. I received 17 points for enhanced care on transfer from DLA to PIP after a medical. Two weeks later I received the esa50 form concerning my ESA, ( I am in support group). I sent my esa form off and now three weeks later have received a letter from DWP concerning my ESA claim. It said there has been a change in my claim ( transfer from DLA to PIP) and they have looked at my claim again and I will continue to be in the suppport group.

My main question is, does this mean no f2f for my ESA claim? Have they used the PIP medical report to decide my ESA claim?

Do you need to include the PIP assessment report as supporting evidence with the ESA50 form? Or will the PIP assessment report automatically be accessed by DWP when they look through the ESA50 form?

Hi Wendy,

No-one will look to see what else you are claiming so you should send in a copy of the PIP report if you think it will be helpful. Don't forget that the ESA criteria are different from those for PIP, so you should explain the relevance of the report and link it to the ESA descriptors.

May I ask that you start a topic of your own if you wish to ask further questions about your PIP claim? I know that many fora get cross if someone start a new topic when there is already one about the subject - but we prefer to keep everything to do with one claim/claimant separate from everything else so that we can be sure the correct information is given/taken
