It's not enough that your wife prepares the meals you must explain specifically why you cannot, why you cannot with the use of suitable aids and why you cannot with the assistance of another person.
You mention that it is not safe, you need to explain why this is the case, what would be the risk of injury to you, another or of damage to your home if you were to attempt to prepare and cook a meal.
It might help if you try and break the task (and others), down into smaller parts and then explain your problems with each of these.
Remember to make use of "reliably" and "on the majority of days" as applicable.
Have a look at the PIP Claim guide for a list of aids that the DWP believe would be applicable to this task.
