Esa Tribubal adjourned was created by cazzy
I had my esa tribubal today. I handed the clerk all my extra evidence as well as loads of pages pointing out all dwp and the assessors inaccuracies but when I was called in they said it has to be adjourned so they can look at all the new evidence. Does this happen alot?

I'm afraid it is because of the extra evidence that you supplied on the day, you need to make sure that any additional information that you send is with the Tribunal Service no later than 7 days before your re-arranged hearing.

It was rather a lot of paperwork that I submitted as there were so many mistakes, it took my so long to get through it all and I just didnt get it done in time to post it. While I was there they requested 2 more additional pieces of evidence that they want me to send in to them before my next tribubal date, so at least thats something. All this paying for doctors letters is costing a small fortune though!

Hi Cazzy,

I've done the same thing myself several years ago, handing in a bundle of pages on the day because I couldn't complete it early enough.

My hearing had to be adjourned and the judge decided to obtain GP notes before the new hearing. They most likely do this to make the most of the time that was put aside for the adjourned hearing and make sure the new hearing has all the evidence required.

The law / tribunal procedures require that the new hearing is conducted by either the same tribunal or an entirely different tribunal. Because most judges and medical members are part-timers and it may not be possible to have both tribunal members together for the new hearing, there is a fair chance that the new hearing will have a different panel.

Good luck,

Derek
