After many hours of work form sent off today. Had hoped to include letter from my GP who knows me well but they are on long term absence until new year and no one else knows me well enough to write letter to help so it has gone without it....
Dreading the assessment before xmas as have found the past month tough going but will deal with it am sure.
Is it worth mentioning at assessment if they ask if I work that no I am on ESA support group following an appeal and on what grounds I was awarded it (Mental health) or not? Thanks

My daughter is also profoundly deaf and has just been awarded standard rate PIP which is equivalent to midrate DLA. Click on my nickname for further information on a very recent upper court case ruling on this which I included as evidence.

Had a text on 25th Nov stating they had forwarded my claim to assessment centre. Heard nothing so on Weds (4th Jan) contacted DWP who confirmed it had been passed on but since I hadnt heard anything they would email assessors to get in touch.....so still waiting and worrying to date.

Hi, still waiting but I have been on the forum reading through other posts as find them helpful and just realised that I wasnt asked over the phone when I did PIP1 if I wanted to use my evidence from DLA - I have been on DLA since 1999....what should I do now - leave it? My form was returned 21st November and still awaiting contact from HP. It was very detailed mind you - 13 pages of additional notes so what do I do for the best let them use this or refer back also to my original DLA? Since this application I have developed a new condition in addition to initial one being present still, so wonder if I should just leave it?

It's now to late to get the DWP to include your DLA evidence but you can send them a copy if you have it, as it is old then is needs to still be relevant to your conditions as they are now and for it to have any effect on the Decision you need to explain how it is relevant to your being able to reliably complete the PIP activities.
