Moving house was created by Biff
I need to move house due to too many stairs but am worried this will affect my benefits. i am currently on contributory ESA and PIP I don't receive any income related benefits. Will moving outwith my current area affect my ESA and or PIP I want to stay within my are if I can but if I move outwith the area will I have to reapply for ESA and have to move GP I currently have to send in a medical Certificate once every year to last 12months which is the longest time you get and I am in the support group so do not have to look for work etc but I thought maybe it would be a problem it is really worrying me so if anyone can advise me please help

There's no reason why your moving should have any effect on your current benefits, you will not have to re-apply.

Hi Biff,
Once claimants have been accepted into the main phase of ESA, they do not usually need to send in further doctor's notes (fitnotes). Have you checked this with DWP, it could save you a bit of hassle when you move?
