Hello Gordon,
Really sorry to bother you again but I wonder whether you are able to confirm something for me. I have my face to face soon but I have read somewhere that under PIP if you are unable to cook, wash etc and someone undertakes to do this for you then it will not score any points under PIP? I thought that if you were so indisposed that you needed help to do these things then you should be eligible for financial assistance otherwise there is no point in applying for it? I thought it seemed really strange when I read it but what are your views on this?
Thank you

We often use the phrase

"you will not score points for things you do not do, only those you cannot do"

You providing you can show why you cannot do them then you should expect to score points.

Hello,
So sorry to bother you again but wonder whether you could answer another question for me please.
I was given a date for my face to face at home but two days before I had a call to advise that it was cancelled. That was over a week ago.
I rang yesterday and they advised that another date has been arranged for April. Even longer to have added stress now!
However, I have some further documents confirming my inability to walk any distance and wondered whether I should give these to the person doing the assessment or whether I should forward them to the DWP to add to the already mountain of evidence i have provided on the PIP form?
I am so worried about this now that its getting to be a real problem fo rme.
Thank you for your time.

I would send a copy to the address of the first appointment and take a copy with you to any new appointment you receive and ask the assessor to read it and include it your file before they return it to the DWP.

You can also send a copy to the DWP office dealing with your claim, marked for the attention of the Decision Maker.

Sending Documents to the DWP or Maximus, ATOS or Capita

:( Hello yet another query I am afraid. Today I have received another phone call from Capita to say my F2F has been cancelled yet again. This is now the third time! My stress levels are through the roof , I really don't feel like going on with this any longer, my health is being affected even more than it is already. Yet another appointment is to be put in the post . I asked why they cannot do a paper assessment after all this time but they just said that they haven't got enough information. I have sent confirmation of every illness, details of how they affect me and yet it still isn't enough for them. meanwhile I have to suffer all this extra Anxiety. Please advise me what to do next as I am at my whits end now. Sorry to sound off but i am really frustrated and worried.

Hi Gordon,
I sent an email but don't know whether I did it correctly. I am at the end of my tether now as Capita have cancelled my home appointment for the third time! I have been under enormous stress as it is but to keep cancelling the appointments is adding to the anxiety. I really cannot take any more and wondered whether you have any advice for me. I did ask whether they could do a paper assessment as they had no one to come out and see me but they just said that they need more info. I have sent them every specialist report confirming my conditions and copious notes on how I am affected so what more can they possibly need? I had mid range care and enhanced mobility on DLA without a f2f so whats going on?
