ESA50 arrived today! was created by Mags
Ah well, had about 6 months of "freedom" but the dreaded form arrived today so off on the journey again. Last time was 2013 so had some time but have been expecting it, but thought it was June this year!

The last time I went through this it was Atos and I had to have a doctor for my WCA, brain injury, will it still be the same with Capita or have they changed this?

Have downloaded the guides and will plod through them, hopefully, have a new doctors but she likes to help, and a new system at the surgery where a WO goes through the form and advises your doctor on how to give the information, there is a small charge for this but I hope the system works, it's different to last time.

It's Maximus not Capita!

The requirement for a doctor to do certain assessments was part of the contract between ATOS and the DWP, we assume that a similar clause has been added to the one with Maximus, but we are aware from feedback in the forum that the requirement is regularly abused.

It might be worth your checking that the person coming is a doctor, however, be aware that you cannot insist that you are assessed by one.

Sorry about getting them mixed up, unfortunately I knew what I meant

Just a couple of quick questions regarding standing and sitting, I cannot stand for long around a minute on my own and have to have two crutches, have to move my position after 20 mins to avoid pain and discomfort and to avoid seizing up, so does the fact that I move to another chair in a different position mean I can do this or that I can't?

Also moving from one chair to another next to each other, does it mean we have to slide across, which I can't do, or stand up with my crutches and move to the next chair?

I'm having a "blond" moment and not sure what to put, I've looked at the guide but it's not going in!

Thanks

The Standing and Sitting activity looks at your ability to remain at a workstation, you can move from standing to sitting and back again as many times as you wish but the clock will only stop when you are forced to move away from the "workstation" due to significant discomfort or exhaustion.

Hello me again

Quick question, would it be okay/good idea to send in the two pages from my Pip assessment last year saying what I have scored?

Got a letter of support from my Dr, explaining that while I'm in a wheelchair I am unable to self propel, and how my disabilities affect me. She told me to put in the letters from my previous doctor, and she has referred to these in her letter, agreeing with them.

Nearly there now!

Thanks, Mags

It's always good to remind those assessing you that you already have an award and what it is.
