Thank you Gordon

I have sent off Mandatory Reconcideration Request but had a strange dream during the night that woke me up and now i am worried as it was correct.
I checked over the request letter and i have not signed it. Does this matter ? should i send another copy that is signed correctly at bottom ?
It has been sent tracked and signed for and i rang up and asked as well.
Always have dreamy sleep when i have alot on my mind, thought i would have a good nights sleep when i had the letter sent off.

Many thank again

I don't think it will matter, but I would phone the DWP and confirm that you are requesting an MR.

Hi i have recieved the MR notice and no change to original decision.
I have decided to appeal. I recieved my letter on monday 24th April and its dated 18th so wont have additional evidence to send with it so can i send it in at a later date ? the MR decision also has contradictions (eg your right and left shoulder have normal range and then a few lines later stated you would need assistance with washing hair or body below the waist due to reduced shoulder movement ?.
I think i will alo complain to my MP who ever it may be, also to Atos about the assessement.
Any advice very welcome.

The PIP Appeal guide has links to the SSCS1 form that you will need to complete and the Submissions guide has a complete example that you can use to help you fill it in, you do not need to provide detailed reasons at this stage for your request.

Once your appeal is accepted the DWP will prepare their submission to the hearing and send you a copy, whilst you should wait until you receive this to finish and submit your own, you should start to prepare your own case, an increased award will only be made by your showing that you score the extra points for one, so I would start by going back through your PIP2, the assessment report and the PIP Claim guide to see how you might show this is the case.

You can submit your information up to seven days before the hearing.

I have printed off a copy of the appeals form and will fill it in with the help of the guides here as you suggest. I am also going to print out the relevent pages for my GP to look at and hopefully fill in and add comments too.

Many thanks for the links.

I dont have anyone to represent me but am going to contact CAB and ask if they could help as they helped with the original claim form.
Will keep you posted and no doubt be back for more help and with more questions.

Hello again
I have filled in and sent my appeals form.
I have doctors appointment next week, she is going to go through my assesment report with me so im going to print off the descriptors needed for her to fill in for me.
I have also contacted the rumatolagy secratery to find out if i can get an updated report from them.
As regards the doctors and descriptors should i just take the relevent ones needed ? although others are also not what i think they should be i dont want to nit pick !
Also if i complain to atos now will it effect my appeal?
I have seen here somewhere how to find out about the person who did my assesement, in my case a physiotherepist ? can you help with this at all ?
Last is, do i use the email address for my local councillor to complain or the london office ?
Is there anything else you think i can do to help my appeal? sorry for all the questions.
Kind regards
