Hiya one and all,

Here is an update

I decided to send an email to the Centre for Health and Disability Assessments to see how things are progressing since they received my re assessment completed ESA form over a month ago. I sent the email first thing this morning.

I received a prompt reply this morning, withing 2 hours of them receiving the email, excellent I think.

here is a transcript;

Dear Mr xxxx

I can advise that advice has been provided to the DWP on 5 June without the need for Mrs xxx to undergo a face to face assessment on this occasion.

It will be for the Decision Maker at the DWP benefit office dealing with her claim to consider all of the available information, decide on her entitlement to benefit and they will be informing her of the outcome of this in due course.

As we are not notified of the outcome of any benefit claim, any further enquiries about the status of Mrs xxxs claim for benefit need to be directed to the DWP and they can be contacted on: 0345 608 8545.

with regards

xxxxx

Therefore we now have a waiting game with the DWP/DM.

Or do you think it is advisable to contact them to see what they have decided.

I presume it will be either SG which I hope and expect to receive or else it will be in the WRAG.
I understand as not having a f2f it has to be one or the other.

Yes, if you do not have a F2F then you cannot be found Fit for Work.

Hi

As we are waiting for an answer from the DWP to see if I am in WRAG or SG, is there an email address one can email them to see where I stand , haa haa so to speak.
I have laryngitis at the moment so an email would be better as I am only in croak mode at the best and am getting perturbed in not knowing whats up.
We are aware that my file has been returned to them.
Many thanks

The DWP cannot be contacted by email, I'm afraid it is phone or write to them.

Husband tried in vain to contact DWP today.
Phoned the job centre number that dealt with it last time 2013, line no longer valid.
Phoned number on ESA 2017 paperwork form, no longer valid
Phoned the number (s) listed online, told to phone another number after trying 3 different nos which were no longer valid.
Rang this number given and told queue for 40 mins, waited and 30 mins later cut off.
Tried again and gave up after being cut of again.
He will resume wasting 4 hours on Monday afternoon after now having to work til 7pm to make up hours wasted today.
Talk about useless and extremely costly as he had to use his mobile and not the works telephone.
This is disgraceful especially so for those of ltd means or who have phone phobias etc, more so for those who are really unwell etc.
It would be good to have some phone numbers that are best to use and actually operational.

I will update one and all if and when my husband/ carer has time to spend on a phone the DWP !!!!
