So.... I have been waiting and playing dwp games again asked for form to take a look at my pip award as I believe it should have been high rate for both care and mobility anyway called dwp they was sending a form out ok so 7 days later rang them see where it is was told it can take up to 10 days to get to me what??? Maybe it's coming on a boat from china finally got it went to welfare rights they did paper work and sent it in .... so that was 7th march get a letter saying I only have one day to still submit papers rang dwp said they were sent on the 7th march oh finally said they had paperwork so.. given all gp surgeons consultants physio therapist X-ray ect so I know they have now had it for 6 weeks and still no reply from them not even had a letter to go to atos for medical yet either so am wondering why it's taking so long I had to take them to tribunal last year it was a win but was only given low rate of care and 4 points only as they had to take it when I first applied in 2015 so just accepted it as I was so ill and drained from tribunal that I needed to take a breather anyway have sent everything to them that I had I was awarded it for 3 years but it took me a year to get to tribunal last year so I would have been called in at some point this year so thought I would get it over with but not holding my breath i have even managed to go a step ahead in case they turn me down I have got all paperwork ready for mandatory reconsideration should they decide I am not awarded any points again like last time which is why I went to tribunal but I guess my decision will come eventually I should probably call them this week to let them know I am still alive and kicking it is sad what these people are doing to people that are ill and is probably going. To get a whole lot harder they are hoping that people will give up so it's good to know that benefits and work are there as a guide to help ourselves will keep you all posted when I finally get the dreaded brown envelope

Hi
Well like you i had to appeal my husbands plp, it was sent twice to the dwp to reconsider, and they won't change it.
He was when on DLA on the high rate for both, then when he got plp on the lower rate that was with doctors letters, social workers letters and still nothing.
We have now sent it off to be heard in court, this is the last chance for him to dispute it, but this has been going on for 2./12 months!
He was awarded it at the lower rate for both for 9 years lol i haven't heard of anyone getting it for that long! Next assessment is 2027!
Hope you have some luck, it's awful and stressful for claimants the stress is enough to make people give up, we are not though what ever is done this time in court will be it, how long it will take i have no idea so hope yours comes through very soon, and good luck!

Pip journey 2
Ok so to follow on decided to ring dwp to find out what was going on they said they had sent papers to atos for face 2 face so called atos they haven't done anything with it yet so they asked me if I wanted them to look see what dates are available well of corse what kind of question is that so they have given me date for next Monday so this time I am not going alone I am taking partner with me As last time I was on my own and they just left out things that happened and put things down that never happened so I have a question for anyone I would really like to tape it but can't as I understand you have to have a double cassette which I don't have is there any reason why partner can't take notes ? Any other tips or things I should do as I think I have given them most of my letters and paper work from doctors I just don't know how you stop them (I won't say lying) just putting things in that didn't happen and leaving out important things that did happen will now have to wait and see I will post again with results

Yes your partner can take notes.

There's a section at the back of the PIP Claim guide that covers the assessment and the questions you are likely to be asked.

Good luck
