Hi everyone,

Could you please give me some advice.

Posted my AR1 form back by Special Delivery last Tuesday at a cost of £11.00. Sent lots of supporting information for the last 2 years to show how things have become harder.

Rang today and they have no trace of it on their systems. I have the track and trace showing it signed for on Wednesday morning. Even the person on the enquiry line said it should be on by now.

They told me to call back Thursday and check again but the deadline date is up Wednesday next week.
Will i be expected to copy everything again and resend? Surely if they've received a package, they should have to trace it.

Thank you for any help on this.

Hi Judith,

What an absolute pain for you! :(

You are absolutely correct in saying that it should be possible to track down your paperwork. However, if it has gone astray, there might be no realistic choice other than sending in a copy. Fingers crossed that this is not necessary!

Hi Mrs Hurtyback

I shall wait and worry until Thursday then.
Just one other thing though, will the DWP accept a copy of the AR1 as the original was obviously posted last week.
Might another option be to take it to local JCP and ask them to send it for me, explaining what's happened?

Thank you

They should accept a copy given the circumstances.

Yes you can go to a JC+. You need to make an appointment to do so and make sure that you get a receipt for them copying and emailing the documents and of course get your copies back.

Hello Mrs Hurtyback, Gordon.

After a few telephone calls my bundle of papers and AR1 form seems to have been found. I can only hope that it has 'all' been scanned onto the system.

Like everyone else the waiting for a response is just as stressful, my GP has been most helpful even just listening but also changing some of my meds to help me try to cope a little better.

Thinking ahead as we all do: if a decision is made just by the DM and no F2F (Atos/Capita) requested, but it's not what we hoped for, I assume then there's no PA4 report to ask for a copy of?

If going for a MR, is all we can use to contest the decision just the DM's letter then? Sorry if this has been answered previously,I think I might be getting myself mixed up with process.

Thanks as always for your kind support.

Judith

Glad to hear it all turned up.

If a paper assessment is done then a PA3 report will be produced which you can request a copy of.
