I contacted PIP today and re m/r and was called back by Melissa the person who is my new case manager. I explained NHS virus problem and that I couldn't get letter from consultant to them by 23rd may (m/r I month deadline) She was really nice, spoke for 30 minutes and she is giving me an extension till 1st june and will call me on 1st june to see if received letter and sent it to them, apparently it takes 3 days to get to them from receiving by post to central place. She told me to concentrate on the medical evidence which supports where I didn't get points and on pain, mobility, safely and distance to increase points for extra 2 points. Obviously I can't control what consultant puts, but dr has done this and I gave him a copy of what she put, so hopefully will do the same. So it was worth calling and I managed to explain rareness and vast medical history and she asked me a few questions which I was ready for and have noted down and I will use this information with the letter I send with both dr and consultants letter. At least I am getting the chance to send in the evidence before they are going to make a decision. Who knows what the outcome will be, but I will definitely sleep better tonight knowing that I have a chance to maybe/hopefully keep my car.

can't access in PIP members guide Pip diary extracts and templates it won't let me in, it just brings up system message you need to register and log in before you subscribe, but I can get in to everything else. There must be a fault? can you look at it?

Gordon, still waiting for result of m/r for PIP. Just received Capability for work questionnaire for ESA which is up Aug 2017. I am in support group and have been since migrated from longterm incapacity Benefit. Last time had telephone call to answer questions, this time form sent. Will I be sent for a f2f assessment, as I had a f2f for PIP in April this year? Should I send report gp did for PIP? thanks

Based on feedback on the forum, Maximus have been asking claimants to attend a face to face if the previous assessment did not include one, so I think it likely that you will have one.

You can include the report but you need to show how it is relevant to the ESA criteria for it to have effect.

Make sure that you use the latest ESA Claim guides, although the Descriptors have not changed since early 2013 their have been updates to the guidance that you need to be aware or.

Finally the envelope arrived and following my m/r I have been awarded 10 points for daily living and 12 points for mobility, which means I KEEP my car. I can't believe it, I was sure I was going to end up going to an appeal, but they left it late, as I was going to have to return my car by 11th July! Thank you Gordon for all your help, I am now filling in my ESA work capability questionnaire, so it hasn't sunk in yet and I am now focused in staying in the support group which I have been in since 2012. I have looked at guides for help and I hope I don't have to go to either m/r or appeal, but I know I can count on this site and your help and advice if needed. Thank you once again.
