Replied by Gaddy on topic DWP phone call re ESA assessment
Hello Gordon.

A further update on my ESA tribunal result which if you recall was a win but not the result of SG or being scored for the descriptors that I and my Representative were expecting. I think I described it as a hollow win. It wasn't a fair hearing in my opinion but there you go, that's life.
I have decided to live with the decision as it stands, there is no doubt we had good reason to get it set aside but I am going to save my energy for next time round, already as a few weeks have passed it feels slightly easier to bear!
On a positive note and what has helped me make the decision is that I have been awarded PIP, enhanced daily living. I am truly gobsmacked that I am not having to fight for that too,
the report reads fairly accurately and my written evidence has been referred to which did not seem to carry much weight for ESA.
My face2face for PIP took all of 20 minutes with a paramedic who seemed totally disinterested and bored by the process, as you always state Gordon its impossible to tell or read these assessments and what result you will receive.
So hopefully that's me done for a while anyway, the guides on here are a wonderful resource and even though I had help filling in the PIP form it helped immensely that I had some understanding of the descriptors and how my limitations may apply.
Thank you again Gordon for the help, support and guidance you have given to me and for the great job that you do for everyone who posts on the forum.
To everyone going through the process of trying to secure their award I wish you all the very best, you may feel a bit battered and bruised by it, I most certainly have, but keep going and don't give up.
Thanks again
