I'm sorry but there are no outstanding posts and I can't see anything from you since the post you replied to.

Does anybody know what - if any - back dated payments I may be entitled to? I have been on the assessment rate since November and have been told that I have been placed in the support group from mid May but have still not had a change in payments. Just curious as the last few months of being off work have resulted in mounting debts and it would help considerably.

I'm sorry I missed your original question I didn't notice it in your reply to Donna.

If this was a new claim for ESA, which your post suggest then the SG award will be backdated to the beginning of week 14 of your claim, sometime in February by the sound of it.

If you still haven't heard in writing about your award then you should chase the DWP office dealing with your claim.

Thank you. I'm just getting increasingly worried about the delay in them confirming this to me.

I have been in touch with the DWP twice - they have confirmed that I have been placed in the Support group, but cannot confirm when I will receive confirmation of this and just tell me to wait - even though the decision was made back in May.

I'm confused as to what the delay is and now worried that the two advisors may be mistaken in telling that I've been placed in the SG.

Has anyone else had any experience of this? Where the DWP have delayed confirming their decision in writing for some reason?

If the Decision has been made then there should be no reason why you should not have received written notification of it.

You can try contacting them again and escalating to a manger, this usually requires a call back.

If you still have problems then consider a formal complaint

Complaining to the DWP

and you might want to consider involving your MP.
