Dear All,
I am new to the forum and need advice on my PIP Assessment which I've got on the 8th May.
Brief history of my disability: I have Herniated disc at C5 C6 with femoral stenosis, multiple disc herniations at L1, L2, L3 and L4, degenerative bone disease in the spine. Widespread Arthritis. Fibromyalgia, Small Vessel brain Ischemia, Basilar Artery Migraine, Mild Stroke. Recently diagnosed with Primary Bilary Cholangitis. I
My question is I have been worrying myself as I know the assessor will ask what my day consists of and my only answer is that just getting through each day is an effort. I no longer can do any exercises or even simple stretches as its to painful. Its difficult to explain what I do all day as I have just adapted the best way I can to get through the day.
I had a medical about 4 years ago when I was on DLA and I was put on middle rate care allowance and high mobility rate and I wasn't as bad but the stories I have read when people have transferred over to PIP have been terrible. If I don't get this money I don't know what I will do.

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

There is a section at the back of the PIP Claim guide that covers the assessment process and the questions you are likely to be asked.

You will also read a negative view of the process when you visit sites like B&W, as we deal primarily with the problems that people have with their claims. But we only deal with a small number of the claims being looked at any time and the reality is that the majority of claimants are dealt with in a professional manner and receive the award that they deserve.

If you have more questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
