TOPIC: Please help panicking, savings over £6k

Please help panicking, savings over £6k 3 weeks 2 days ago #188710

Judy you need to be very careful if you go down this line. The phrase "deprivation of Capital" comes to mind and this believe me is not a smart move and is certainly not in the claimants best interests!

I know, but if you need to renew stuff like a bed, which you need et al then that is acceptable surely? Plus there is no law saying you are not allowed a holiday either.

I did refrain from saying stuff the cash into your mattress.

I see DOC as an obvious attempt at gettting your amounts below the threshold, so council dont add tarriff income but tarriff income is so small that its pennies, im already paying it so a little more wont make much of a difference.

Hi Chrissy, just came across your post and in my opinion it is always best to declare everything in order to have peace of mind.
