Hi All....Well got my pip result today. 0 points. For both categories. The explanation is as though the assessor is talking about some one else.
Said: I have no Specialist input. I have 4 letters from Consultants. One confirming multiple mobility problems. Confirming cannot walk on my left foot, cannot lift arms above my shoulder height. Confirming COPD Asthma OCD

Said peak flow was fine, for height and age, did not give result but it was just over 200 three times, it should be 450 for my height and age

Said: I could make budgeting decisions, I was never asked. I was breathless throughout the assessment, she said I coped well no anxiousness.

Said: I had adequate spinal flexion, hip flexion and external rotation, I was never examined

Plus many other lies. I have MRI's to back up everything Consultants say in letters.

How can she do this? She is completely disregarding any medical information I have supplied.

I know my next step is MR. I am going to get some help with this. Which organisation would be best suited. DIAL or a Welfare Rights Officer.

Thanks again

Both should be able to provide help, you can also do an internet search for "welfare advice" with your postcode, town or county.

Hello , i am sorry to hear about your bad news , i had the same bad news and lies told about myself mobbba , you feel at times that no matter what you do or say at the face to face,it will just come back as lies, i have been busy finding out about my assessment etc, and have complaints sent off to capita, pip and the royal college of nurses and midwifes ,regarding my so-called assessment and so-called assessor ,so my little bit of advice to you is keep on fighting, maybe somewhere along the line ,someone will listen and do something against this attack on the disabled .

My wife has home assessment tomorrow; and after reading your story; we are worried about the assessment. Hope your Mandatory Reconsideration goes in your favour.

Thanks Gordon. I have rang DWP this morning. The assessor was working from my PIP form with nothing written in the box beside each descriptor. This is because, I cannot hold a pen easily and would have found it really difficult to complete the pages in handwriting.

So I typed, well spoken word, the detail as to how I manage things to each descriptor on a daily basis which amounted to 17 pages.

These were scanned into my file and have not been opened by the assessor. Neither had she any information with regard to my ailments or medication which were all in the same file.

The assessor said to me we have no knowledge of whats wrong with you. No details of medication.

I did say at the time she did not ask me any questions about anything, which I found strange. She gave me a damning report. I I produced a letter from Consultant on the day saying I found it hard to put my left foot on the floor making it difficult to walk and she said (her words)''I have decided you can walk more than 200 metres''

She said I had no muscle wastage in my legs my calves are really thin compared to my thighs, this is muscle wastage and is confirmed in a letter from the hospital.

I find this preposterous. I know the stories about the assessments are bad, but this is downright lying. Can an assessor actually disagree with a consultant and an MRI regarding a diagnosis and how it affects you. what is the criterior on this?

Getting back to DWP she advised me to do an MR, she assured me that all documentation would be taking into consideration.

What are your thoughts on this one Gordon? will it be the norm where they will agree with assessor? Or is this just a mistake on the part of ASOS

Hi Gordon, I was not meaning on Saturday that I did not get support from B&W when I said I needed help from other source. I was absolutely gutted on opening the envelope and was in pieces.

I felt I could not go through it all again, just want to speak to someone really as to how I proceed from this. Just don't feel I can go on anymore.
