Please think very carefully about this.

PIP has significantly different criteria from DLA and the new benefit has been engineered to reduce the benefit budget by at least 20%, as a result many DLA claimants are receiving reduced awards or for many, no award at all on transfer.

At the very least have a look at our PIP Claim to see the criteria you will need to meet and mark yourself harshly as to whether you meet it, as the DWP certainly will.

It's obviously your Decision, just be aware that once you start the process there is no backing out of it and your DLA claim will be closed whether you are successfully moved to PIP or not.

The PIP Claim guide has all of the information you need to start your claim and to complete the PIP2 claim form that you will be asked to complete about your day to day problems.

You can use your ESA reports and evidence but even where there are areas of crossover between the two benefits the criteria is still different, so you will need to show the relevance of the documents that you enclose.
