Not really sure what this has got to do with my Universal Credit but maybe someone could help and tell me.
Because of getting in touch with the DWP last week about mine and my husbands payments varying so much on the UC even though my husbands self employed wage has stayed virtually the same over the last 2-3 months, getting back to me in my journal my UC adviser has said...

"Having checked your claim and taking into account your declared disabilities I would like you to call us, confirm who your GP is and which surgery you attend.
Once you do this we can refer you for a disability assessment to determine whether we can pay extra Universal Credit accordingly. We cannot do so until you give us the necessary authorisation to proceed with the medical assessment procedure.
Thank you."

Surely, because of my PIP and the tribunal that I am due to attend in june, they already have this information as this information was already given to the DWP so they should have this access to information such as GP's address and my permission for access to some of my medical records etc?!

Part of my decision to go to tribunal in the first place included the DWP did not even attempting to retrieve any information of medication or anything else that would support me on proving that I had had a change of circumstances that now severely affects my mobility.

"Once you do this we can refer you for a disability assessment",
does this mean the UC people now want another assessment,if it does then the answer will be NO,or have they read my paperwork on PIP and are trying to catch me out by wanting ANOHER assessment??!
Surely one thing has nothing to do with the other and they should be treated separately??

The first thing to say is that this is completely unconnected with your PIP and what is going on with it, they are separate benefits.

This is also why you are being asked for this information, even though you have supplied it to the PIP department, the UC people cannot access it.

UC differs from ESA in that it is always claimed as a couple and the ability of both people to work is considered, ESA only looks at the primary claimant.

There appears to be concerns about your ability to actually work and your advisor wants to put you forward for an assessment to see if you can be moved out of the work group, in other words they want to assess you for ESA as it is under UC.

Thankyou for that but i'm not in the work group anyway.
I was put into the group where I am not forced to find work because of my arthritis, hypermobility and so on.
I made the mistake of thinking that one could see ALL details that were given to the other department, thankyou for putting me straight.

They are assessing you to see whether you should remain in this group.
