Anyone won an MR n or Had Points Reduced at MR

Hi
Are there any members who have actually had a positive decision when sending a Reconsideration into the DWP? I am wondering if its worth the risk asking for a Reconsideration to try and get 3 points restored after my son received his decision on his PIP re-assessment.
Has anyone lost points that they weren't challenging and ended up with even less?

Thanks

Yes we have, slightly more often recently than before but the number are still not high and you really need to consider whether to go on to appeal where the success rate is significantly higher.

We haven't seen anyone lose points for at least three months, but it certainly does happen.

Hi Ellie,

I got 0 points for both daily living and mobility after a face to face. Sent my MR and went to 10 points daily living and 4 points mobility.

I am now going to appeal as I still feel I should have got more.

I never had any points to start with though so had nothing to lose. If you feel you deserve the points I would go for it.

Good luck.

Hi Gordon
Thanks for your reply. Has it been known that the DWP have reduced points at an MR? I wouldn't want to go for an MR if there was a danger of my son losing some of the points he has been awarded already.

It does not happen very often but it does happen, we haven't seen anybody affected for several months, but it is more frequent on other forums.
