My wife has an ESA home visit on Tuesday as she has severe agoraphobia generalised anxiety disorders ,emotional unstable personality disorders clinical depression, and PTSD.Have spoken too them they are saying they have too do a visit as my wife hasn't been seen in over 20 years. My wife also gets pip at enhanced rate ,do we have anything too worry about as this is very distressing too my wife and myself.I am also my wife's appointee ,does that give me permission too talk in the assessment on her behalf with her being present. We also have a pip assessment still waiting too hear asked for home visit . Can you tell me if they talk too each other many thanx

As her appointee you should be able to speak on her behalf, the guidance for PIP assessors is clear on this but I can't find any equivalent advice for ESA assessors, so you may need to play it by ear on the day.

Most ESA Claimants require a face to face and if your wife has not been seen for 20 years then I am not surprised that on has been required this time.

The assessor for PIP and ESA do not talk to each other, I would not even expect that she was being assessed for the other benefit.

Gordon said they don't talk too each other bit confused many thanks

I wouldn't expect the PIP Assessment Provider to even be aware that an ESA reassessment is ongoing.
