Would a 'award decision from DWP' be only in the case of a success or does this term also apply where you end up with a refusal ?

Also if you get refused and you are already on DLA (DLA I think paid in arrears) when does the DLA stop ?

I would expect the term "award" to only be made where the claimant has scored at least eight points for at least one of the PIP Components. In other words "award" would only be used where there has been an award.

Once a Decision on your PIP claim is made, positive or not then your DLA will continue in payment for a further four weeks, the exception to this is if you are in N. Ireland where there are Transitional payments.

Thank you Gordan time will tell whether the words a Capita official used to me in writing mean what I hope they mean. My other half thinks 'award decision' might mean the letter yet to come telling you there is no award :(
