Hello everyone i have just signed up and hoping that someone can give me some much needed support and advice. I will briefly describe my situation. Since 2001 i suffered panic attacks that led to agrophobia i was on low rate DLA. In 2013 my marridge ended but my payments was being made into my ex husband bank account i called up to cancel and the women on the phone said i will get into my account after 2 months with no funds going into my account i called them back and they said it was stopped due to my claim not being renewed from the last april i left it as was going through a very stressful time in my life. However i decided to apply last year for PIP and had to go in for a medical i was awarded 2 points for daily living as i find it hard engaging with other people and was awarded 4 points for mobility as i cant attend a journey alone. 15 years ago i was awarded 11 points and now they give me only 6. I am on sertraline and diazepam for severe anxiety and agrophobia with depression. My new husband is my current carer which i have to rely on for all my daily needs. I appealed the decision and it was adjourned in January as the judge wanted further evidence from my gp and wanted to see me in person so i get a fair hearing. I cannot go in person and feel i will be rejected. I asked them for a telephone hearing which a different judge has allowed and its being heard at a different court next week. Im very nervous i cant sleep im worrying about this hearing and really want to call and cancel it but i dont want it to effect my hearing. Im nervous about what questions will be asked as im not very good and cant think of the answer my brain goes dead. The anxiety gets the better of me. Please advise me on what to do. Many thanks

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

Have you made a submission to the appeal?

If not then it is too late for you to do so but you can prepare something for yourself that explains why you believe that you meet the criteria to score points.

I would go through your PIP2 and our PIP Claim guide to make sure that you can show this. Take the Descriptors as written and try an bring your conditions to the definitions and not the other way around.

Also, you must be able to complete the activities reliably and on the majority of days not to score points, these terms are described in more detail in the Claim guide.

There's no requirement for them to do so, but I would recommend having a companion with you and he can of course, as you carer, provide additional testimony.

Also, If you have problems going out on your own, then attending the Tribunal without someone with you will lead to assumptions being made about your capabilities.
