should I reapply for PIP? was created by Jah2075
Hi all,

I have bipolar one disorder and ptsd, I used to get enhanced PIP until the government tightened up the rules and I didn't sort out my evidence because I was depressed.

I cannot prepare meals due to high anxiety around knives (ptsd), I manage to work but it's a struggle to be honest. I'd like to pay for counselling privately but I can't afford it without PIP - do you think I have a case to reapply?

You can re-apply for PIP at any time, but you will need to consider the issues raised in your claim, that resulted in you not receiving an award.

There has been a change to the PIP guidance in regard to safety that may be applicable to your claim, have a look at our PIP Claim guide for more information.
