PiP Appeals was created by Peter
Good Afternoon to all members,
When it came to my transfer from DLA (High Mobility 16yrs & Low care), i was initially told it would just transfer over - Wrong!
My assessment was over 3.5hrs and did little to alleviate my stress levels apart from send them through to roof.
Outcome - awarded High Rate care, but removed from Mobility... Also received Severe Disability.
I asked for a Mandatory Reconsideration, was told it took 6-8 weeks, funny but my letter came in less than 12 days, same letter word for word with spelling mistakes and Refused.
So i appealled, went to the appeal but it was adjourned for further medical results, my stress levels went airborne... so i cancel the appeal.
However, i am sure the letter from the court, said that i could still appeal (time limit given was 1 year), is that correct? ?????
I have had a major blow to my health recently and i am wondering if i should appeal with the latest developments or not? Some help would be grateful on this subject, please?
Those developments are that i now have "Cushings Disease", Spinal Problems - Disc Degenerative Disease at Base of spine" and "Acute Metabolic Syndrome (X)", both of which i don't really want to add to the all ready growing list of health problems since birth.
It is painful to put on foot in front of the other, without pain shooting up both legs into the bottom of my spine at pelvis level.

So you can now see how some advice would be welcome.
Many Thanks
regards

I've removed your name from the end of your post, although you have to be a member to post in the forum, you do not have to be one to read the posts.

You may be able to re-activate your appeal by contacting the Tribunal Service, however, they will not be able to take any change in your condition into account when making their Decisions. Tribunals can only look at the problems that a claimant had at the time of the Decision being appealed.

You can report a deterioration in your condition to the DWP, if you believe that it would result in higher award, by writing to the DWP office dealing with your claim and advising them of the change.

Be aware that it will result in a full reassessment of your claim, a ne claim form and almost certainly a face to face assessment.

Gordon, Thank you for your replu.

I am a member, considering i have just renewed my subscriptions to benefitsandwork.co.uk and funds have been removed from my card account..

I was told i could do that but i decided that it would be pointless as tests that were supposed to have been done, were not even carried out to the referral stage.

I have placed info from the manuals and guides and have been using the diary pages to record my day to day issues, but more often i have to talk these into the pc rather than type them.

But i will be sending off the PIP.1043 or AR1 form although my form looks different to the latter..

Many thanks and please keep up the good work that you do..

regards
