Hi, my son has autism, ADHD, mild learning disability and anger issues. I sent forms, and reports from school all which supported everything I was saying in the form yet they have requested a meeting as i have not enclosed enough information to support his claim. I read lots of others were offered the PIP both parts without a meeting, and I'm feeling somewhat confused. I don't really know what else i can possibly say to them that i had not written down, and believe me i filled it out in as much detail as i could. Has anyone else had to have the meeting prior to being awarded their claim? He got both on his DLA. Any advice would be welcome as I am so dreading this appointment. thank you so much in advance

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

The vast majority of PIP claims require a face to face assessment so you should not read anything to the request that your son attends one.

There is a section at the back of the PIP Claim guide that covers the interview and the questions he is likely to be asked.
