PIP 0 points frustration!

Hi, as above after being reviewed for pip I have been awarded 0 points which I think is ludicrous considering the supporting evidence I supplied and my condition has significantly worsened, I obviously want to appeal this first by mandatory consideration, so I have a few questions as I want to get it right first time with the new supporting evidence.
Will calling up asking for a copy of the medical notes from that day automatically start a mandatory reconsideration? as obviously i want to include the info in case they "get round to it quickly"
Do I have to call to start a mandatory consideration or can it be started in writing?
How likely is my GP going to be to help with the printed off descriptors list and or a supporting letter?
Will the same decision maker look at the claim or is it a new one?
I secretly recorded the assessment is this going to beneficial to me and if so how soon do I divulge this.
Thanks in advance and sorry for all the questions, i may well have more at some point.

Calling for the assessment report shouldn't start an MR, but be aware that you need to start the process within one month of the Decision date.
We recommend your making the request in writing, there are template letters you can use in the PIP section.
I can't really comment on your GP, some are helpful, many are not. All you can do is ask!
It should be a different DM.
A recording may be of value at an appeal, but I would not expect a DM to take any notice of it, however compelling the content, during the MR.
Remember, an award will only be made by your showing that you meet the criteria for one, so try not to get fixated with the report as showing it to be incorrect is unlikely to lead to extra points.

A recording may be of value at an appeal, I was wondering with this recording stuff are we legaly allowed to do this and do they record you, because sometimes when you get the reports it is very accurate somtime almost word for word. so when i have my F2Fnext week do I ask or tell them i am recording this interveiw ?

Just arrived.
This is not useful in this case but something related to recording assessments if it is of use say to, Gordon (hello). I have only scanned it but it seems not for the interviewed needs. But regardless legal and possible useful.
I can not be encouraging about recording secretly being useful.

? only one criteria. I thought I understood the process, but points are not accumulative? One has to have 12 in one criteria???

The rules for organisations and their staff are different from those for private citizens. It would be illegal for the assessor to record the assessment without your explicit permission to do so.
