Thanks Gordon for your prompt response .
Do you think they will call him in for a face to face for a review then ? \he had a face to face for his initial app for PIP from DLA .

They have already made one decision not to do a PBR when they received his form, it's not impossible that when his form gets to the top of the pile that they will still do a Paper review, but it's unlikely and you should expect an appointment letter,

Gordon

Hi,
After 9 weeks since completing PIP review form we received a letter from Capita . Surprise surprise it is a standard letter as it said thank you for your recent application for PIP which obviously created doubt in our mind as to what was going on as it is review on his current award since 2015. Anyway having got over that obstacle they say they are going to arrange a home visit to access my partner, fine as he has several changes however i really felt I sent sufficient evidence even for the DWP to make a decision , however does this vary in anyway from the standard face to face he originally attended. Also I believe we will be wishing to record this event when do we have to tell them prior to visit ?

Hi MM,

The assessment will follow the same format as those undertaken anywhere else. The PIP guide explains what to expect.

The claimant decides in which room the assessment is held. No special arrangements are necessary - in fact, the claimant does not even need to dress if they would not usually do so. The assessor has no more rights than any other visitor to your home. They do not have the right to 'snoop' around your home - nor have we ever heard of anyone wanting to do so!

You need to get permission from Capita if you want to carry out an overt recording. You will need to make 2 recordings at the same time (cassette or CD, not digital) and give one copy to the assessor before they leave.

It is perfectly legal to carry out a covert (hidden) recording but you should be aware that the assessment would be stopped and claim closed if this were detected.

Thank you for your prompt response as always . That's fine then as he had a face to face at a local Capita centre before just wasn't sure what to expect with it being a home visit . Thought they might ask him to make them their lunch!! Not that he could anyway .
