Help, pip assesment.

My memory is bad, but a few years back I was asked to go for an assesment, but couldn't go because I never go out because of severe anxiety/stress/etc ...

To cut a long story short (my memory is bad) ....

I was refused benefits cause I couldn't go to an assesment, it went to a tribunal and I won.

I was represented by a legal disability charity (I can't remember who they were and I am now panicking)

The charity came to my home and also arranged for a doctor to come to my home (I never go out even to the doctors, I am totally housebound). I wish I could remember who they were as they should have records? I think they were norfolk based? Any suggestions welcome. They went to the tribunal on my behalf and won my case.

I am on ESA (support group) and presently on high rate mobility and low rate care.

Pip has just written to me on 01.06.2017 (recieved 03.06.2017) telling me to go for an assessment on 13.06.2017 ) 10 days is not much time to do anything .... I am panicking!!!

I called PIP customer service centre (0300 3300 121) and told the lady I couldn't go. She said she would contact my doctor. and they would write back to me.

I have literally never been out of my home for years except about over a year ago, after 3 days excrutiating pain I went to the doctors (new doctor) and was given some tablets and a hospital appointment .... I didn't go to the hospital because of my anxiety.

Any advice on what I should do if they still insist on an assessment at an assesment centre?

Please there is no way I will be able to attend, even if it means losing all my benefits.

P

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

I would not rely on the Assessment Provider contacting your GP, I would do it yourself and see whether they will write a letter explaining why you cannot attend at the AP's offices.

If nothing else they can confirm whether they have received the request from the AP.

I've just had a assessment last week at home . I don't suffer as much as you but I get stressed and have enxiety, I've been on dla for 20 years . She seemed nice enough but I'm dreading her report coming back. What I was going to say is I asked for a home visit and they said the same they would ring my doctors and specialist. Neither one of them have heard nothing from them . I sent loads of paper work in including from my doctor and don't think they have even read them . I gave her a written list of all my tablets and all she said was oh they cause sleep issues , I'm not looking forward to postman dropping that envelope . Hope you get sorted out .
