Hi! (Apologies if this subject is covered in another thread).

I've just subscribed to this site as I know my time is coming soon to change from DLA to PIP and want to be ready! I've paid my subscription but what do I do now?? What does my money get me? I'm really overwhelmed by the site and don't know where to start. I suffer from M.E. so due to my brain fog and low energy I need some help please to tell me what to do now in preparation for receiving my invite to change to PIP as I don't have the mental energy for looking through the site myself.

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

DLA claimants are being chosen at random to be invited to claim PIP so it may still be some time before they actually contact you, but it will definitely help if you are prepared for when they do.

I would start by reading our PIP Claim guide, this explains the claim process and the criteria against which you will be assessed, these are very different from DLA. See

I would also have a look at what evidence you have available to support a claim and where you might source more if you need it, you could for example speak to your GP about the support that they might provide.

I;m new too and also felt overwhelmed. I have my PIP 2 form to fill in and need to get my head in the right space to start it. I have looked at the documents on here but it was information overload (I have fibro fog and memory problems from not sleeping, or dementia...etc etc) so I struggle. :unsure:

There is a lot at stake and where once I would have filled the form in without a second thought, I now find it so difficult to comprehend things and to communicate.
Here's hoping we both get there.

A good place to start is the self test which will give you an idea of the points system and the criteria for each activity

Nice to meet you. Thanks for replying to my thread.
It's all very overwhelming isn't it? I feel exactly the same as you. There is so much at stake with this being a vital source of income and it really is very daunting...and not having much energy or the concentration...I'm dreading it.
Good luck to you. I'm sure we will get our heads around it somehow lol
