Hi Gordon
I have applied for my private pension early. it works out at £36.00 a week, I am on ESA IR. I am forwarding all my pension details to the DWP but will this affect my payments thanks

If you are receiving ESA(IR) then your pension payments will directly affect your ESA, with the income being deducted £ for £ although there may be a disregard for some of the income.

Also, any lump sum will be counted as part of your assets and savings, so if these exceed £6000 then there will be further deductions from your ESA and if they exceed £16,000 your ESA payments will be stopped.

I would strongly recommend that you get face to face advice before proceeding with the pension if there is still time for you to do so.
